Honest answer: This depends partly on dumb luck as for anybody else and most of the on whether you choose to be compliant in the future. Almost all teenaged diabetics are noncompliant. Now that you've reached the age of an adult, the joys and responsibilities seem more long-term. Get with the program now and you can expect a life like most everyone else's.
