What is the difference between stage c and d heart failure? my mom has an ejection fraction of 25-30% and is being treated for hf with diuretics and other meds. she feels really good except for mild fatigue. she's 71. how long can she live with hf?

Patient with stage D heart failure has marked symptoms at rest and frequent hospitalizations despite maximal medical therapy. By your description, I would think you mom has stage C heart failure and she may live past 75 years old. Good luck to your mom.
