Heart failure: Main goal in heart failure treatment is to prevent fluid accumulation in your body. That means taking the right dose of water pill and also other medications that are proven to improve quality. Make sure you check your weight weekly and if you are still gaining weight make sure you talk to your provider. Avoid extra salt in your diet, canned food and frozen food as they all contain a lot of salt.
