A member asked:

The company i work for had conducted body check up for all it's employees in which an ultrasound report incidentally found out that i've a gallstone in my common bile duct. but i don't have symptoms from it, should i still get it removed asap?

This is a topic that is somewhat debated. Management of asymptomatic bile duct stones in low-risk patients seems to favor removal of the stone. The preferred method is ERCP, which is endoscopic (through the mouth/esophagus, not the abdomen). Reach out to a surgeon for consultation, to discuss your options. If not having symptoms, I wouldn't consider it urgent. Cut down on fatty foods though
