Back up the bile into the liver and then into your blood and yellow skin (jaundice) will happen. When bile is backed up, we are afraid that intestinal bacterial will move along with the bile which can cause biliary cholangitis and sepsis, a deadly complication. You should have it removed ASAP, either by ERCP or surgery.

blockage can be partial or total. partial blockage can give a variety of symptom depending on the amt of blockage ranging from pain to jaundice. Flow of bile from liver is obstructed and this causes release of bile into the blood causing jaundice. Backup in the gallbladder also occurs as that is where the bile is stored and then releasr in to the small intestine. have it (stone) removed asap
