A member asked:

I can see balls of ear wax in both of my kids ears. its almost blocking the entire ear hole. it doesnt seem to be bothering either of them, but should i take them to a doctor for removal? of so, what kind of dr? or leave well enough alone?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You can tease out what you can grasp with tweezers if the kid will sit still. There are several OTC wax dissolving ear drops you can find in drug departments & use as directed. The wax itself is inert & doesn't hurt anything. Keep the kid from using Q-tips that just push it in further. If nothing helps, see their doc.
