Mri of spine, emg and ncs. the results were: 1- sight axonal loss changes with secondary demyelination of b/l sural snaps. 2- moderate chronic denervation changes in l l4-s1 myotomes. mri- degenrative changes at l5-s1. can someone explain to me?

Since the EMG results do not well correlate with minor MRI wear and tear findings, perhaps there is a need for a second opinion. Suggest finding a neurologist who focuses on neuromuscular disorders.
