I ate a scone today and suddenly had excess salivia which is not going away. i also have a feeling of something not going down my throat. a slimy sensation. i do suffer occasionally with silent reflux. is this all connected?

I do not think the current symptoms have anything to do with GERD. I suspect a component in the scone could irritate your oral mucosa and salivary glands which results in the hypersalivation and the slimy sensation. You can gargle your mouth with warm water. hopefully symptoms will resolve in the next 12-24 hours. Good luck.
