A member asked:

If i have "silent reflux" will it cause difficulty swallowing and the feeling of something stuck in my throat for several weeks?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Dysphagia and globus: Acid reflux can be tricky. You have described two distinct possibly related symptoms that CAN be due to reflux. Some other might be throat clearing, cough, or hoarseness. I recommend you get "scoped" either by ENT or GI, preferably that includes esophagoscopy. An alternative test is "barium swallow" series of video x-rays to rule out other possible causes. A full eval usually includes both.
