If you drink before your bedtime than it's not uncommon that your sleep will be interrupted one time for a bathroom trip. It could be abnormal if you do not drink much fluid after the dinner but you have to wake up for bathroom trip for MORE THAN one time. If you are healthy then nobody can predict if you're at risk for urinary retention or not when you get old so do not worry about it. Take care.

Tough the future health of anybody is difficult to predict- this symptom is not indicative of future urinary retention. try lessening fluid intake in the evening. Good luck
