I have cystitis, recurrent uti, and trouble emptying my bladder takes minimum of an hour, insane i know. i have taken antibiotics and made it worse. went to a urologist and gave me meds that didnt work. then went to a holistic dr and feel worse?

Did the urologist do a thorough work-up or not? If he did the work-up, what condition he diagnosed and what medication(s) were prescribed. If the work-up was not done then you should seek a second opinion. Take care.

You need to see a Urologist who will explain his/her findings- the problem you have and its treatment so you can understand that. PL do so. Holistic medicine will not help in this situation. I hope you feel well.

How do I know if my interstitial cystitis is flaring up or if I am getting a UTI? I was just recently diagnosed with IC, and don't have much experience managing it beyond using a bladder friendly diet.
USG report said suggestive of cystitis due to thickening of the bladder wall(7mm). My family doc said it is due to UTI. In Urinalysis WBC plenty, RBC 0-2. Is the thickening mild? Is it something to worry about?
Is it possible to develop cystitis without ever having a bladder infection/uti?
Does interstitial cystitis of the bladder cause a lot of uti's ?
