I got out of bed at 7.30 am since then i've drank around 500ml of coffee and over half a bottle of water. i have peed 5 times and it's now 2pm. is this frequent urination?

Voiding 5 times in 6.5 hours is borderline, not frequent enough to define frequent urination which is usually defined as voiding voiding every 30-60 minutes. In your case, high intake of caffeine during that time period does contribute to the relatively high frequency because caffeine has diuretic effect. Take care.
