Have your extracting dentist take a look to see if it is a broken piece of tooth or a bone spicule. Either way it should be removed.

When you have multiple teeth extracted that are in bony sockets, many times pieces of bone will break off and some even after the extractions. Most are removed during the extractions, but it is not unusual for a small spicule to remain and float to the surface. Sometimes it will come out on it's own or the dentist will pluck it out, either way have it removed it can delay healing.
