Blood test shows WBC count 12 E9/L , NEUTROPHILS count 9 E9\L and MCV 27.4 pg. I do not have any apparent symptoms of any infection. What could be a reason for these abnormal results?
I was told I have a UTI infection and I'm on Bactrim. I went for an outpatient procedure today and my blood work showed: High absolute neutrophils, low HGB, and high WBC. Is this from the UTI?
Three year old had strep and was on antiobiotic for two days when we did routine blood work. Her wbc was 3.8. What would cause this to be low? Neutrophils absolute was 0.8 also a little low. What would cause this? Rest was normal. Retesting today?
If my blood test shows left shift of neutrophils, which I understand may be related to fighting infection, would not the overall number of neutrophils and therefore wbc also show increased number? Thanks?
