How likely is it to get a false-negative result if you give an msu sample in a pcr urine test for chlamydia?

This is a wise question, but don't worry. Apparently you know that first catch, not midstream urine (MSU) is advised for chlamydia/gonorrhea testing. The performance of MSU specimens has never been formally studied. However, 20 years experience in all labs is that it makes no difference: negative result on MSU will be reliable, with no increased risk of a false negative result.
