A negative chlamydia test means LGV is not present. There has been a single case report of a male patient with LGV involving lymph nodes in the neck that probably was acquired by performing oral sex (or analingus, i.e. oral anal contact) on another male. However, oral chlamydia is rarely transmitted to partners genital or anal area, and no such case of LGV is known to have happened.

Would a urine PCR test is sufficient for detection of chlamydia trachomatis for women or have a chance for false negative result?
Would taking Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) for 2 days make me falsely negative for Chlamydia? It was a PCR test.
