A member asked:

Does a negative standard chlamydia pcr swab test (oral, recital and pharyngeal) rule out lgv? and can lgv be transmitted by oral sex?

A negative chlamydia test means LGV is not present. There has been a single case report of a male patient with LGV involving lymph nodes in the neck that probably was acquired by performing oral sex (or analingus, i.e. oral anal contact) on another male. However, oral chlamydia is rarely transmitted to partners genital or anal area, and no such case of LGV is known to have happened.
