Good morning doctors. i received blood work. my egfr is 52. bun is 28. creatinine is 1.49. i was told to speak to both a nephrologist and a urologist. could you please tell me what these results mean?

Good morning.Your kidney tests are slightly abnormal and need further investigation to find out why. It could be a medical or surgical reason. Nephrologist for medical and Urologist for any surgical. wish the best

Your kidney function appears mildly impaired, the nephrologist will assess it from a medical standpoint, the urologist will possibly address it from a surgical standpoint.
