Occult blood + by dipstick does not always mean true blood in the urine because the test is a chemical reaction & other component in the urine can cause + test besides the blood. You need a formal urinalysis and if microscopic hematuria is present (more than 3 red cells/hpf) then you truly have hematuria. If protein is (+) you see a nephrologist or see a urologist if no protein in the urine.

Good afternoon. I would see a Urologist for at your age there are more urologic than nephrological reasons for blood in urine. I would also get a urinalysis with microscopic exam to make sure. Good luck
