A member asked:

I found new lump in my right breast. the mamo and ultrasound did not see the lump. the mamo showed dense breast tissue. the ultrasound found one intrammamary lymph node 8x5 and wanted a surgeon to f/u on the node and lump. could the node be significa?

You should see the surgeon to evaluate the lump. The lymph node is normally not significant but is a greater concern if the palpable lump is confirmed. A palpable lump should never be ignored even when nothing is detected on mammography and ultrasound. A breast MRI might be indicated if there is continued concern.
