There is no urine test for PKD. It is diagnosed by a radiological testing

It has to do with family history and possible complications related to the cysts, such as infections or bleeding that might cause abnormal urine studies, imaging is diagnostic otherwise and used for surveillance as well. Normal or abnormal urine studies are not diagnostic, nor ruling out PKD.
