Very good afternoon doctors. if i get a urine cystoscopy will the urologist be able to tell me all of the test results after the cystoscopy or will i possibly have to wait for additional test results to come back?

After the cystoscopy if urologist does not obtain any bladder tissue for test, he will likely tell you that the procedure has gone well and there is no abnormality found. However, if bladder tissue is obtained then it will be sent for pathological exam; if that is the case you just have to wait for the pathology result. Good luck with your exam.

If it is just a cystoscopy (looking inside the outer urinary tube and bladder- then you will know the results right away. If a biopsy is performed then you have to wait 48=96 hours for the results.
