Hi i went to the nurse this morning for uti and when there i was told i had a kidney problem and that my kidneys should be 91 but i am at 82, i asked what the problem was but he didnt know. can you enlighten me please?

Would having a right kidney measurement of 9.3 it was 10.2 a couple yrs ago indicate a problem. I'll also mention frequent uti's and a pain on right.
For about 3 years + I have been having dark colored foul smelling urine. Drs said its not a UTI but im thinking there may be a kidney problem.
4months dark brown urine.No pain.No kidney problems. UTI meds taken.Dr said he must be bleeding from somewhere and entering urine. What could it be?
Are dipstick tests relatively accurate for negative UTIs and kidney problems or should I have requested the Urgent Care to send it for further testing to be sure?
