I am having the same problem. have also had many kidney and uti infections in the past. i alo have bladder retention and they can't figure out what is causing it.?

Need more info: You need expert opinion on voiding dysfunction. Urinary retention can be a risk factor for recurrent uti's. As for the reason why are you having urinary retention could be many. You gender would be helpful to me as well to give you a differential diagnosis. Sounds like you need to be seen by a urologist and you may need urodynamics. Good luck.
