Part of the definition of asthma is recurrent bronchospasm. If this type of issue only happened one time after having Covid, then you do not meet the definition of asthma. Even if you do meet the definition of asthma, there are times in the course where some patients do become asymptomatic and they don’t need to take inhalers all the time. You can see a lung doctor to figure out this out.

By a breath test, do you mean a peak flow test and you registered 80%? If so, 30% would be an asthmatic episode. I wouldn't label you asthmatic without episodes of wheezing or its equivalent which may be a persistent very dry cough. As suggested a pulmonologist would be worth consulting if you still have concerns. Appropriate testing would be done.
