How soon after starting pantaprozole am i at risk for cdiff? is it right away? after a year? i started in march (esophogitis) & going away in a few weeks and paranoid ill develop cdiff while on vacation. once im back, ill be home and less worried?

There is an increased risk of cdiff after prolonged use and the exact duration is not known. This does not mean that everyone taking it will get it. If worried and your GI symptoms are tolerable you can take alternate meds and can resume the panta when back. Have a nice vacation.

Not a likely event, antibiotic and/or steroid use may increase the likelihood of such infections otherwise, would rather worry about travelers diarrhea/ viral gastroenteritis depending upon the geographic area/ type of trip, cruises specifically.
