Esophagitis: If the swallowing difficulty is in transferring food from mouth to throat or or if it's food sticking in the chest(esophagus) I'M afraid that ppi medications like pantoprazole probably will not help. If you're experiencing heartburn or true reflux then they may. Esophageal motility disorder is best evaluated by a gastroenterologist.
