I have la grade b reflux esphogitis via endoscopy/biopsy. no hyplori. i was put on ppi for 8 weeks. is this the same thing as erosive esophagitis? if it is, won't i be on ppi for life?

One should not do PPis for life usually. I would try elevating head of bed feet 8 inches as gravity never sleeps.

Whether you need long-term PPIs depends on how well your symptoms come under control with anti-reflux precautions, after a short course of PPIs. Some people do need them long-term to keep the symptoms under control. Good luck.
