A member asked:

After how many days of antibiotics should a productive cough turn into a dry one? im feeling better now but still have a wet cough on day 4 of amox+clav?

Depends on what you are being treated for. If pneumonia or bronchitis, it is not unusual to last up to 2 weeks for a wet cough. And the dry cough later can last a month or more. Continue to take your antibiotics for the duration they were prescribed. Drink plenty of fluid to keep the wet cough mucous less thick.
