There : There is no quick or sure answer to this, but clearly your child needs further evaluation at this point. A viral cough would not respond to antibiotics and can persist a month, but shouldn't cause fever for three weeks. Maybe two viruses back to back, but a repeat visit possibly including blood tests and chest xray is needed.
