Yes: I see no reason you can't take a cough suppressant with an antibiotic - not an unusual combination. Good luck.

Depends on: Depends on active ingredient in the cough syrup you are taking. To be totally certain, talk to a pharmacist and inform them the exact cough syrup so they may determine if contraindicated.
