Diagnosed with pharyngitis (fever, cough, sore throat) then it got worse with pus and was given antibiotics. no improvement and had light cold with clogged, painful right ear for 16 days now with a bad cough. throat pain persistent & shifts sides?

Probably this is a viral infection, and viruses do not respond to any antibiotic. You might ask your doctor to check for infectious mononucleosis ("mono"); also called glandular fever in some countries.
