Related to cough: When you cough you create a pressure on the blood vessels situated above the heart. What you describe is less about the fever or infection & more about the cough. We call these tiny pinpoint red spots coughing peteciae.(a tiny break in a capillary) The location is specific. They are not cough related if they are located from mid-chest down the body in an upright kid.
