A member asked:

2 year old, high fever, cough, ear & throat infection. dr says its viral and given aspelone and toberex. now had red pinprick rash around eyes. why?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Related to cough: When you cough you create a pressure on the blood vessels situated above the heart. What you describe is less about the fever or infection & more about the cough. We call these tiny pinpoint red spots coughing peteciae.(a tiny break in a capillary) The location is specific. They are not cough related if they are located from mid-chest down the body in an upright kid.
