Get in touch with the doctor who prescribed the medicine to discuss. If the joint pain is thought to be related to the medicine, your doctor may want to prescribe a different medicine for you. There are other meds to treat your esophagitis. So, discuss this potential side effect with your doctor to see what your options are. Good luck!

If you think that the joint pains may be a side effect of the medication, then you should speak to the Doctor Who prescribed it, to see if there is another acid reliever that they could substitute. Good luck.

Unlikely to be due to Omeprazole.
