Diet: Since you do not smoke or drink alcohol, you may need to revisit your diet (no caffeine) and eliminate all foods that make the gerd symptoms worse. If you have already done that and you are having symptoms that cannot be controlled with medications, you may need to seek a surgical consult for gastric fundoplication or depending on the anatomy of your esophagus another procedure.
