I have just finished 28 days on omeprazole for esophagitis now after a week the burning sensation i was suffering from when eating has come back ,how long does esophagitis take to heal completely. should i take nexium before i see my doctor next week?

Esophagitis can take quite a while to heal completely, depending on the severity. If your symptoms returned, then you likely need the medicine for a longer period of time. You could call your doctor and see if the omeprazole can be refilled, at least until you are seen again. You may need another scope to see if the esophagus is looking better. Best of luck to you!
