No, regular urine dipstick test or urinalysis does not measure phosphate. However, examination of urine sediment may detect high amount of crystals which contain phosphate such as calcium phosphate (one stone type). Hyperparathyroidism causes high PO4 in urine so this condition needs to be treated if present. Increased fluid intake, low salt and low animal protein diet is the mainstay of treatment

Good morning to you too. Phosphates are not tested by dip stick method a urinalysis is required. Treatment if needed is based on the cause
