I had a transvaginal ultrasound which showed fluid in the right adnexa. this test was done while on my cycle. one week later retested and it shows no fluid but a paraovarian cyst. could this be a sign of endometriosis?

The fluid often represents the remaining debris (blood) after an ovulatory follicle releases an egg & breaks down. This can cause pain. Nothing in this wording suggests endometriosis. Please discuss the findings with the doc who knows your history and exam findings.
