Diverticulum is a small pocket of the wall of a hollow structure eg the intestines and common . Mostly occurring in the colon. some can get blocked/ infected causing diverticulitis. It can not be predicted in whom that will happen. So hope for the best and dont worry

No, uncomplicated diverticulosis just means that diverticula are present in the colon. Only a small percentage of people will go on to develop diverticulitis, or inflammation of the diverticula, or diverticular bleeding. Eat a lot off fiber, hydrate well, and your colon will probably do just fine. Good luck.
