No, it is safe to use but if you choose to make your own saltwater solution, it's important to use bottled water that has been distilled or sterilized. Good luck!

Netipots are readily available throughout the country and are very safe and do not cause nerve damage. But cleanliness is important, as bacterial or fungal contamination is possible if this is not done conscientiously.
