Ask the surgeon: Ocean spray is normal salt water and is safe for continuous use. Ask your surgeon which topical medications are also safe and effective for use after surgery.

Healing: I am not aware of any harm from overdoing saline, however ot will not shorten your healing time. You may want to consider taking extra vitamin C. It has been associated with increase collagen prodiction and binding. This does help healing. Also, eat protein.
