I have been diagnosed with vasculitis by my dr. he prescribed nivaquin once a day and the rash on my legs disappeared for about a year but it flared up again. is nivaquin safe to use on the long term as i see it causes hearing loss.

Nivaquin: This antimalarial medication also has anti-inflammatory effects and is used to treat autoimmune diseases. Patients take it for months or years. In addition to hearing problem it can cause eye problems and regular visual examinations are recommended when taking it long-term.
