The most likely cause is acid reflux from your stomach. It can often not feel like acid reflux even when it is. Try avoiding heavy fat content meals, large meals, laying down after meals, chocolate, coffee, alcohol, mints and also using drinking water and Tums when it happens as needed. If not improving, then see your physician for an appointment and further testing.
