I had bloodwork 7 weeks apart. alt (0-32) rose from 25 to 78; ast (0-40) rose from 28 to 48; and bilirubin (.0-1.2) went down .5 to .3. no alcohol during the 7 weeks and occasional drinker before that. abdominal ultrasound was normal. liver disease?

The essential part is missing as to why you had your liver enzymes rechecked if they were initially normal. Not enough for liver disease, not enough for a trend either, you will likely need to have another set shortly.

These tests alone do not determine whether you have liver disease, but they give you an idea that it needs to be evaluated. You should return to your primary care doctor or a liver specialist to determine what is causing the abnormal liver tests. Good luck.
