Doc thoughts on these liver numbers? sgot(ast) 41 ul in july , 400 ul in dec. and sgpt (alt) 79 in july 1000 in dec. no pain no signs of liver disease, all seems well. may go for ultrasound. active marijuana user but no alcohol. drinks lot of water?

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, it may be due to an intercurrent viral infection. It would be prudent to repeat the tests in 3-4 months. If overweight, lose weight. Wish you good health!
