No: The color of the fluid does not indicate a malignancy. Breast cysts are rarely cancerous. The aspiration is done for a variety of very good reasons like lumps etc..

No. : Breast cysts are almost always benign. The color of the fluid varies between yellow-to-green-to-brown. It's possible to nick a blood vessel when aspirating a cyst, in which case it will be red. However, very rarely, a cancer can become necrotic in its center & be blood-filled; or, more rarely, a cystic cancer can be present. Therefore, i send bloody aspirates for cellular evaluation to be safe.
