I am 70 years old. the transvaginal ultrasound says: "within the right adnexa, there is a 3.7 x 3.4 x 4.0 cm oval solid mass demonstrating vascularity within it". can you please explain? what other tests do you suggest i do? i am worried. thanks?

A solid mass of approximately 4 cm in size in the rt. adnexa with vascularity raises concern ,you need to consult the gynecologist at this juncture if you haven't yet. Need to r/o benign versus malignant tumours of the adnexa.

Difficult to interpret this without knowing the clinical setting, but there appears to be a mass in the vicinity of your right ovary. You definitely need to follow up with the Doctor Who ordered the original ultrasound. You may need other tests, such as a CT scan, if the doctor feels that it requires further examination. Be sure to follow up as soon as you can. Good luck.
