I have insomnia and i take 12.5mg of zolpidem. i am on vacation and have ran out can i take two 50mg unisom?

Ambien (zolpidem) and Unisom (doxylamine) are 2 different medications. You are taking a high dose of zolpidem so I am not sure if unisom is effective. The usual dose of unisom is 25 mg before bedtime and you should not take more than 50 mg at one time. You should expect drowsiness in the next morning with this drug.
