Alt is 89, ast is normal as are all other values. i do drink more than i should and i'm overweight. should i be worried about cirrhosis? should i get an ultrasound. i did at a party drink the night before the test if that effects it?

If you are overweight, this could be fatty liver. A CT scan of your abdomen would be helpful to assess your liver to see if fatty liver is present. If it is, weight loss and avoidance of alcohol as well as meds that are liver-metabolized would be part of your treatment. Seeing a liver specialist would be helpful. Good luck!

While not likely to have cirrhosis, early stages of alcohol and/or non alcohol related liver disease/ injury are suggested by tests. Losing weight and reducing alcohol to a minimum becomes critical in the long range.
