Concern for husband: long hx of alcohol use (24 beers/week x 25 years), now labs show ast of 51 and alt of 48. ultrasound showed gallstones but also a 6 cm mass in liver and coarse echotexture of liver. are we facing cirrhosis? mri ordered?

While cirrhosis is suggested by significant long term alcohol use, the MRI should shed some light over the origin of the 6 cm mass with concern for being primary liver tumor vs tumoral spread from another source.
