Pain caused by transient synovitis usually resolves in 7-10 days. I hope your child will be completely recovered after 2 weeks.

Usually the symptoms resolve within 2 weeks. Transient synovitis is the most common cause of limping in children. Good for you for having it checked out.

Transient hip synovitis originates when the main upper leg knob bounces against the hip joint & triggers an inflow of inflammatory chemicals/fluid/pain. That cushion like space does not have brisk blood flow removing the reaction so recovery is slower. Often there is lesser pain soon but lingering effects for up to 2 weeks. Docs study this well in an effort to exclude an infection in the joint.
